Chapter 6: TC Publish Notes Update (26.04.2007)

Storyteller updates:

• Storyteller prop for the second half of the damaged transport is now the correct object.
• When changing a storyteller npc's combat level, they will no longer change in scale.
• The storyteller now gets a message letting them know when someone accepts an invitation to their story.
• A storyteller may now set the combat level for an npc on the token and when that npc is created, it will be set to the specified combat level. Once a combat level is set, you can see the token's current level in the examine window.
• Storyteller Npcs will be stationary on creation. They may be toggled between stationary and loitering.
• Any combat storyteller npc may now be switch to become a flavor npc. Note that this cannot be reversed.
• Fixed a typo on the sky battle effect tokens: b-xing is now b-wing and x-xing is now x-wing.
• Storyteller vendors will now spawn at the entrance to theaters in NPC cities.

Rebel Theme Park:

• The Ithorian Scientist - typo fixed: removed extra word "what".

Beast Master:

• You can now forage on multiple planets again
• Extract DNA and Train Pet will only be visible to Beast Master
• Added System Messages explaining why DNA cannot be removed from incubator
• Fixed bug disallowing DNA to be removed if you cancel your first session
• Updated Expertise tooltips for "incubation quality", "DNA harvesting", and "incubation processing time".
• Legacy pets that are not mounts should not be callable.
• Fixed issue preventing DNA Extraction on dead creatures when in auto-target mode.
• You can now convert your old BE deeds into DNA for your incubator.
• Added Check to Extract DNA command that checks if you are a beast master

Publish Gift:

• Fixed a typo on the description of Wim Magwit's Magic Painting Controller.

Art:

• Updated mutant jax textures
• Updated mutated cupa textures

Client UI:

• Fixed client crash that could happen when viewing certain manufactoring schematics in your datapad.
• Added skin to Pet Toolbar
• Right clicking a pet ability on the Pet Toolbar sets it to auto repeat
• Added graphic to Pet Toolbar to denote if pet is in Passive or Defensive mode

Chapter 6: TC Publish Notes Update (27.04.2007)

Storyteller:

• If a player is in someone's story, examining them will provide the storyteller's name
• Adjusted cost of combat NPCs
• Flavor NPCs can now be toggled between stationary and loitering
• Storyteller combat NPCs now equip their weapon when created
• Factional storyteller combat NPCs will no longer attack factional enemies who are not part of their story
• Storyteller combat NPCs will now stop attacking players that leave their story

Commando:

• Cryoban grenade 2 was attempting to use a glop particle effect, which didn't exist. Changed to use a cryoban grenade and particle effect

Expertise:

• Entertainer "Artiste" expertise background image should now appear properly

Forage:

• You can no longer forage while moving
• Added Sound/Graphic to Geothermal surveying action
• Fixed a bug allowing you to forage in the same place over and over again

Beast Mastery:

• Added an error message when you try to transfer your Beast's control device
• Forced Beasts to Store when you respec'ed your expertise
• Fixed bug with Eggs able to hatch in your bank
• Can no longer extract DNA when your inventory is full
• Fixed bug with being able to Extract DNA at any distance

UI:

• Modified target displays on ground HUD to use less space
• Status icons for targets or yourself in the ground HUD will now display mouseover information if you hover anywhere on them, instead of only the bottom portion of the icons

Chapter 6: TC Publish Notes Update (01.05.2007)

Beast Mastery:

• Only enzymes contained on the character (in inventory or in worn container) can be drag/drop into the incubator window

Combat:

• Damage caused by Damage Over Time (DoT) effect is now reduced via armor protections as indicated below:

- Bleeding - Kinetic Protection
- Energy - Energy Protection
- Fire - Heat Protection
- Acid+Poison- Acid Protection
- Disease - Cold Protection

• There is now a secondary resistance check on each DoT "tick" that will give a chance to resist for partial damage. Different armor types add an increase resistance to certain DoT types based on the number of slots covered by that armor type. The effect becomes most pronounced when wearing a similar type of armor over all slots that normally offer protection.

- Assault Armor: Resistant vs. Fire/Acid
- Battle Armor: Resistant vs. Poison/Energy
- Recon Armor: Resistant vs. Bleed/Disease

Chat:

• A default BeastMastery chat channel has been created

Item:

• Publish Gift - You can now only place one Wim Magwit's Magic Painting Controller in a room.

Mounts/Vehicles:

• Mount names can now be set on them for organizing a datapad.
• Vehicles and mounts count against each other, when attempting to store a new control device of that type.
• Increased the maximum control device limit for vehicles and mounts to ten.

Beast Master:

• Only structure Admins can use radial options on Incubators Added more examine text to incubator
• Functionality now correctly reduces cooldown on experimentation sessions

Artificial Intelligence:

• Creatures/NPC's should attempt to move around in combat every 15 seconds instead of 2 seconds.

Control Device limits in datapad:

• Beasts, droids, officer pets, and legacy pets all count against each other, when attempting to store a new control device of that type.
• Increased the maximum control device limit for beasts, droids, officer pets, and legacy pets to twelve.

Foraging:

• Foraging should now work after switching planets
• Fixed bug allowing you to forage an unlimited number of enzymes

• Examining pets will now only display the abilities the pet can currently use.

• Added sound/graphic to sampling geothermal energy

Chapter 6: TC Publish Notes Update (02.05.2007)

Did you Know?

• Right clicking on a pet ability sets this ability to "auto-repeat" if the pet has available action and cooldown timers have expired.
• If ability is set to "auto-repeat" you will see a graphic highlighting the ability in the toolbar.
• Up to 4 abilities can be set to "auto-repeat" on the pet Toolbar.

Beast Master:

• If you move an enzyme that has been placed into an incubator UI slot off of your character, it will automatically get removed from the incubator UI slot.
• Fixed issue with not getting credit for already trained abilities, when computing costs for upgrades
• If your beast fails to call, you will no longer receive system message stating that they do/don't like the planet they are on.

Beasts:

• Beasts should ignore combat, if they're in passive mode, told to stay, and told to follow.
• Beasts should follow their master, if they are in passive mode while their master is in combat.
• Beasts should follow their target, if their master is in combat and they are switched from passive mode to defensive, instead of turning around and attempting to follow their master.

Creature Balance:

• Reduced NPC attack speed and damage ranges
• Reduced armor gain scale for Elite and Boss NPC's
• Reduced Agro and Assist ranges for many Elite and Boss class creatures.

Storyteller:

• Storyteller tokens listed by the storyteller vendor are now in alphabetical order.
• Combat NPC tokens now have the option to deploy all remaining npcs (use all charges at once).

Droids:

• More than one droid should not be callable at a time.
• Droids should be groupable.

Combat:

• Reduced Punishing Blow Damage from 300% to 150%
• Parrying a ranged attack with a light saber will play the parry animation.

Ground UI:

• Target and self status displays can now display ten buffs/debuffs in a single row.
• Target, self, and pet status displays can now display two rows of buffs/debuffs.

New Treasure Map Functionality:

• Invisible players will have a harder time extracting Buried Treasure Chests.
• Treasure Guards will attack other group members at random, not just the player extracting the container.
• The treasure waypoint will not be removed from a player datapad as long as the buried treasure container still exists.
• Buried treasure container will stay in the world for 16 minutes.
• Treasure Guard spawn count has been reduced with the greatest advantage given to groups.
• The Treasure Guards now spawn in a radius around the treasure container instead of two groups.
• Buried Treasure container cannot be opened until all enemies are vanquished.

Chapter 6: TC Publish Notes Update (03.05.2007)

Did you Know?

Beast Master:

• The incubator UI will automatically close if you are not in the same building as the incubator.
• Hydrolase enzyme is now Lime Green in color.
• You must be an admin to the structure to operate contained Enzyme Centrifuge, Element Processor or Enzyme Re-Processor units.

Medic:

• Stasis now increases dodge and evasion chance instead of a glancing blow bonus.

Munition Traders:

• Added 15 new draft schematics
• 4 of them are "Dietary Supplements" for beasts.

- These supplements are used to greatly increase a beasts xp gain
- Only beasts under level 75 can benefit from these.
- There will be two experimentation lines, one for charges and one for the actual xp bonus.
- Bonus is a straight percent. So if you crafted a supplement that had 500 that means the beast will get 500% bonus.
- 1 of the new draft schematics is the sub component needed for crafting the supplements.
- Each supplement works on different types of creatures. The description for each supplement will list what beast types it works on.

Combat:

• The amount of DoT absorption available through stacking armor/buffs etc. is 65%.
• Abilities that consume a % of action will now use the players base action value.

UI:

• Prevented buff icons from displaying on top of health/action bars.

Bug Fixes:

• Players can no longer harvest DNA from creatures on Tansarii Point Station or Space Station Gamma.
• Creatures on Tansarii Point Station and Space Station Gamma will no longer drop enzymes.
• It is no longer possible to extract DNA from Storyteller creatures.
• All Jax beasts will now be set to thier customized color.

Chapter 6: TC Publish Notes Update (04.05.2007)

Beast Master:

• Added missing Avian beasts to Supplement J
• Beasts now show their owner their experience gain.

Incubator:

• Fixed issue stopping Block Rating from being updated during incubation sessions
• Processed Hydrolase Enzymes can no longer exceed 20 Purity
• Added color coding to Enzyme Elements

Munition and Domestic Traders:

• Chemical Reactive Units(component for Dietary Supplements) is now craftable by Domestic Traders
• Fixed display issue with Vehicle buffs showing too much resistance

Mounts:

• Fixed issue with Banthas and Carrion spats New mounts coming out random sizes. This fix will only fix new mounts going forward.

Storyteller:

• Storytellers may now invite other players to be their assistants.
• Storyteller props and npcs placed by an assistant are part of the story of the storyteller they are assisting.
• Assistants can help move existing props or setup existing npcs.

Combat:

• Increased action pools on Boss level creatures.
• Enabled root and snare resistance for a number of high end creatures

UI:

• Pet abilities will now always display on the pet toolbar immediately after the pet is trained.
• Targetted Beastmaster pets will now show health and action bars.
• Toolbar will now be correctly positioned for new characters when using resolutions other than 1024X768
• Checkmark will no longer appear over toolbar in space.

Commando:

• Flame throwers now produce devastating hits.

Loot:

• Added Chu-Gon Dar recipe for the Domesticator, Subduer, Subjucator, Tamer and Master Taming Necklace.

• Players will now receive full benefit from the Expertise "Stance Saber Block"

Chapter 6: TC Publish Notes Update (08.05.2007)

User Interface:

• Added an option to display your character's name over his or her head. This displays your name, title, and settings such as (AFK), (LFG), (ROLEPLAY), and (HELPER) in the same way as it appears to other players viewing you. To enable this option, go to Options->Misc->Show My Name and turn it on. This can also be toggled via the command "/ui action toggleObjectNamesMyName"
• Added an option to display beast names over their heads if they are in range. To enable this option, go to Options->Misc->Show Beasts' Names and turn it on
• Fixed issue with the wrong role icon displaying in the status bar for characters in the tutorial

Jedi:

• Vaapad Focus line changed to grant strength and critical bonus instead of stamina
• Expertise "Stance Saber Block" renamed "Defensive Fighting"
• Parry bonus from "Defensive Fighting" is now independent from stance
• "Defensive Fighting" improves chance to parry by 10%
• Saber Block granted at level 26 now improves chance to parry by 10%
• The expertise "Improved Saber Block" increases parry chance by 5% per point

Entertainer:

• Added a series of Vibroknucklers for Entertainers at level 14, 22, 30, and 38

Storyteller:

• Storyteller objects may not be moved further than 128 meters from their creation location
• Removed debug message from examining storyteller NPCs
• Inviting your guild to a story no longer invites the storyteller. They must invite themselves
• Ithorian Skull is now correctly named as such
• Removed weapons from lifeday Wookiee flavor NPCs
• Removed collision from most storyteller props

Chapter 6 Gift:

• Fixed issue with picking up painting controller, where it sometimes did not clean up properly, causing you to not be able to redrop it in the same room
• Added functionality to allow the magic painting to display in multi-passenger ships

Combat:

• Heals over time now work properly on beasts

Beasts:

• Beasts no longer follow invisible players and will instead perform the "stay" command, if they were following their master
• Beasts that kill something by themselves should give the master's group looting rights

Restuss:

• Rebel Captain Voldez no longer allows both the "Kill Admiral Grot" and "Destroy Antennae" quests to be taken at the same time

Chapter 6: TC Publish Notes Update (09.05.2007)

Beast Master:

• Legacy creature mounts can now be converted to Stuffed Creatures
• Fixed issue with Chuba that were crafted via DNA from the converted Chuba which were given as a reward from the quest "Tasty Dried Critters" that resulted in creating a bad Beast Control Device
• Happiness Icons have been updated. They will now reflect exactly what you see on your beast's control device
• All new mounts created will keep their color set during incubation
• Beasts that were converted from pets can now change their name set once (just like all new beasts)

Beast Mastery:

• Changed the name of the "Beast Mastery" box to "Harmonious Understanding"
• Slightly reduced the base DPS of beasts above level 50, balanced against the decrease in creature DPS
• Corrected a data issue that caused beast DPS to drop, rather then increase, at very low levels
• Decreased damage mitigation for the beast ability "Dampen Pain" to be more in line with other beast defenses
• Greatly increased the armor bonus for the beast ability "Bolster Armor"

Beasts:

• Beasts will follow their masters if their master is invisible.
• Beasts will not follow other invisible targets

Commandos:

• "Mine 2" now does the correct amount of damage
• "Base of Operations" now works on Jedi wearing Jedi robes

Content:

• Changed quest reward for quest "Tasty Dried Critters" to give 90% quality Chuba DNA

Droids:

• If you have a beast out and you try to call a droid, a system message is displayed
• Droid deeds can no longer be used by any level player. The level of the deed must be within five levels above or lower than the user's level
• Droids should recharge themselves with droid batteries, when requested to do so. A text message is displayed when a droid recharges.

GCW:

• Damage caused by pets will now be considered as being caused by the master for calculating kill contribution

Jedi:

• Expertise: "Anticipate Aggression" now correctly reduces damage by the stated amount
• Expertise: "Reactive Response" returns action based on the unmitigated damage value

Mounts:

• Cannot be mounted while stealthed.

Mustafar:

• Altered the buff effect from the Empowered Lair Crystal in the Lord Vartonis Encounter

Storyteller:

• Added some persisted effects

General:

• Hedon Istee in Mos Entha no longer offers a bugged quest
• Scythe Schematics have been moved to mid to high level Treasure Maps
• High level creatures will be able to attack low level players again
• Rebel Captain Voldez no longer allows both the "Kill Admiral Grot" and "Destroy Antennae" quests to be taken at the same time by a Commando

Chapter 6: TC Publish Notes Update (10.05.2007)

Content:

• Death Watch Bunker - Balance pass on the death watch bunker.

Combat:

• Personal Shield Generators (PSGs) will now take armor diminishing returns into consideration.
• Area Effect attacks now have a chance to trigger reactive procedural effects.
• Reactive procedural effects are now normalized based on attack speed.

GCW:

• Reduced proc chance on the GCW reactive health and action restoration stims.

Beast Master:

• Opening a backpack that is displayed in the incubator experiment window will now display the backpack's contents in the incubator experiment window rather than in a separate window.
• Tulrus Mounts and beasts should now have a smaller collision radius, thus allowing you to ride your mount thru smaller arches in cities.
• Eopies can now be made into mounts.

Azure Cabal Quest:

• Fixed issue where the player receives a timer warning message after the quest is completed.

Trader:

• New Reverse Engineering combinations have been added that will allow traders to discover "modifier bits" to use in creation of Skill Enhancing Attachments to modify:

- Dodge: Chance to avoid an attack.
- Parry: Chance to negate damage when using a melee weapon.
- Block Chance: Chance to prevent a portion of incoming damage.
- Block Value: Increases the potential amount of damage negated when blocking.
- Evasion Chance: Chance to avoid a portion of area effect damage.
- Evasion Value: Increases the potential reduction in damage when evading area effect attacks.
- Strikethrough Chance: Chance for your attacks to avoid a portion of your target's armor.
- Strikethrough Value: Increases the potential amount of armor ignored during a successful strikethrough attack.

Commando:

• Proximity mines now require the Commando to be in Special Forces Status before placing.
• Mines can no longer be placed while mounted on a creature or vehicle.

UI:

• Elite and boss enemies will now have a distinct target display to alert you to their status. Elite enemies will have the new target display in a silver color, while boss enemies will have their display colored gold. Existing UI elements to denote elite/boss status remain untouched.

General:

• Fixed an issue with Wookiee chest armor removing the Wookiee Under Armor Shirt

Chapter 6: TC Publish Notes Update (11.05.2007)

Droids:

• Droids can only guard their master
• Guard command should allow droids to auto-defend their guarded target

Combat:

• The combat log will now display the actual amount of damage evaded or armor bypassed on a successful evasion or strikethrough rather than the potential
• Self Healing - Self heals and self healing items will now activate a "Bacta Use" timer, denoted by a buff icon, on the character. If healing in excess of 10,000 or more damage occurs while this timer is active, additional self healing will have an increasingly reduced effect. Note that this effect only occurs on self heals and instant self heal items. This does NOT affect heals over time or healing effects on targets other then yourself
Jedi and Commando self heal cooldown timers have been normalized to 15 seconds

Rebel Theme Park Quest:

• Fixed issue with journal counters disappearing

Beasts/Pets/Mounts:

• Entertainers cannot call a pet, while performing

General:

• Mayors can now remove old Profession Trainers listed in their structure report via a radial menu on the City Hall Terminal

Chapter 6: TC Publish Notes Update (15.05.2007)

Beast Master:

• Fixed bug stopping Lava Fleas from converting
• Rescaled some of the beast sizes
• Beast Dietary Supplements will now display the beast types affected on the commodities market
• Bagerasets should now retain colors from crafting
• Many beasts have had their swim height adjusted, so they don't look like they are drowning anymore

Pets/Mounts:

• Tweaked some mount sizes
• Pets and mounts will no longer appear underneath bridges or other structures when summoned

Medic:

• The Nerve Gas Canister, Baleful Miasma, and Trauger Gas Canister no longer use an expensive dust devil particle effect. They now use a low-particle yellow miasmic fog
• Bacta Bomb was using too many particles. The particle count has been lowered

Combat:

• Your current base values for Block, Dodge, Evasion, Parry, To-Hit Bonus, and Strikethrough can be viewed in the "Skill Mods" tab of your Character Sheet
• Fixed issue with too rapid execution of AI specials

UI:

• The status indicator for an elite or boss creature has changed to something more formidable
• Fixed issue where the radial menu "examine" option would sometimes not work
• Fixed issue with the Quest Acceptance window that could cause reward name text to be cut off

Buffs:

• The Favor of the Elder buff was missing its particle and audio effect. This fix adds those effects to the action
• Citizens of a player city will no longer have menu issues with the City Management Terminal radial

Treasure Maps:

• Treasure Map enemy difficulty was adjusted down
• Treasure Maps no longer lead the player to the planet of Dathomir

Beast Master:

• Kwis and Blurrgs can now be made into mounts
• Made Eggs Color match the color of the Beast inside them Added to the examine window of an egg the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) color values of the egg/beast

- These were to allow players who want to purchase a beast egg to know what color that beast is.
- This change will retro-actively change the egg colors for already crafted eggs

• The Chapter 6 MOTD (Loading Screen) should display properly now.
