SWG Trading Card Game Promo Weekend (07-10.11.08)
Star Wars Galaxies players can get what many Bothan spies perished trying to secure during the November Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game Promo Weekend! The promo card, Death Star Hologram (1P8), will be dropping in the Star Wars Galaxies MMO. Fight mobs, craft, entertain or do whatever you do to generate loot drops, and you might find the Death Star Hologram promo card!
The November Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game Promo Weekend is scheduled to begin at 2:00p.m. (PST) Friday, November 7, 2008, and conclude at 10:00a.m. (PST) Monday, November 10, 2008.
Promo Weekend FAQ
Does the start of the promo weekend drops require a server downtime?
The drops should begin without a server downtime.
What is dropping?
This weekend's promo is a special card, Death Star Hologram, used within the TCG. It is not a loot card. The card is looted from corpses like normal loot. If rewarded from crafting or entertaining, the card will go into your inventory. Use the radial menu on it to redeem the card.
Are booster packs dropping this weekend?
Only Death Star Hologram has a chance to drop this weekend. This may be your only chance to obtain this promo card!
Can Death Star Hologram be traded?
Yes.
Do I have a chance for a TCG loot drop from a gray mob?
Creatures that are more than five levels below your combat level do not have a chance to drop a loot card. (Creatures higher than your combat level do have a chance.)
Do all professions, including non-combat, have a chance to receive a card?
Yes. Combat, trader, and entertainer professions have a chance to receive a card drop.
Can crafters get a chance for a drop in practice mode?
No, not in practice mode.
Do entertainers have to give a buff for a chance to get a drop?
Yes.
Does crafting eligible for drops include instrument crafting by entertainers, lightsaber crafting by Jedi, meat jerky, etc.?
It does; any item crafting has a chance for a drop.
Is there a chance for a drop in space as well?
Yes.
Can the card drops be stolen?
No.
