To není analýza Demawende, jsou to pochyby. Ostatně píši to v samotném úvodu přispěvku jako vždy.
No a budes to vubec hrat?
Ultima Online, Dark Age of Camelot, EVE Online, Everquest 2, Vanguard, Age of Conan, Hellgate London, Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer Online, LOTRO, Star Trek Online, SWG, Darkfall, Dofus, Guild Wars, WoW,... a myslim, ze ja debil, tak aspon pulku z toho porad platim :)
No chvíli určitě, když prakticky nic jinýho není.

We absolutely understand you want to get in and play the game early. It's one of the reasons we expanded our Early Game Access from a maximum of five days to a maximum of seven days. However, there are a couple of important points to realize about today's opening salvo of invites, and the procedure in general for Early Game Access and launch.
First, Early Game Access and launch is not supposed to be a stress test. In our previous Beta Testing Weekends we got up to very large concurrent number of players and brought invites into the game at a very high rate. That was done to stress test every aspect of our systems and servers, and essentially to see if they broke. In some cases, they did, but that helped us improve for launch.
For us, launch isn't just about stuffing our servers with as many people as possible. As anyone who's been through a large MMO launch can tell you, that experience can be painful. Our aim with this launch was to ramp things up gradually, to spread our player population out amongst a variety of servers, to maintain all server types, and to keep queuing to a minimum (although we expect that to happen as we head towards December 20th). So far, all that has been successful for us on Day One.
The second thing to realize is scale. We invited more people to play Star Wars: The Old Republic today than many other MMO launches manage in their entire head-start process. As I mentioned earlier today, when we opened pre-orders we had a huge spike in numbers - far more than most MMOs capture at launch. That was the initial rush. After that, our pre-orders settled down.
What this means is that tomorrow, you'll effectively start to see the pre-order timeline expand. You'll see people who have pre-ordered later than July getting invites. The day after that, more people will be invited. We're actually planning to invite more tomorrow than today, and invite the same number again on Thursday - at which point we'll be into the original 'five days of Early Game Access'.
Last thing. Why aren't we continuing to send waves over time? Two main reasons - one, because we need to see that the servers are maintaining stability over time; adding a lot of players in a short period (in other words, stress testing) can cause stability issues.
Two, our plan is to continue to add servers - but carefully, and in response to demand. We need to monitor that demand and role out servers accordingly. A long-term recipe for MMO failure is to add a lot of servers early on, and then when population decreases, have to close those servers and merge them together.
Our aim is for Star Wars: The Old Republic to be around for a long time to come. Today's just the first step in that - an early step, too - and we'll be running smoothly, with a stable population, before too long.

vono ty prvni levely asi moc lidi grupu hledat nebude
jinak vsechno jelo plynule zadny lagy , a server max standard zadny full , uvidime po dnesku kdy pustej dalsi , vetsi varku lidi

There have been some suggestions of characters running around on servers in the 30-40 range today. We have the metrics here, and the highest level character as of 30 minutes ago is considerably lower level than that.
Again, we take this seriously, and we're looking to see if this is an exploit that we need to rectify - but don't let rumor and speculation run too rampant.

Let’s take a look at data mined from the Pre-Launch Guild Launch Program (PLGP): http://swtorprogress.com/members.php. This not a comprehensive set of data, but it is statistically significant set of data: 463k players, or over 30% of the predicted 1.5MM launch.
Here are the totals by server type:
* All servers (entire World): Empire 276,505 | Republic 186,452 | Empire +48% population * RP-PVE servers (entire World): Empire 25,986 | Republic 30,393 | Hey look, more good guys than bad guys. A lot of RP players want to be a Jedi or Smuggler. What a surprise! Not :) * PVE servers (entire World): Empire 107,974 | Republic 86,269 | Empire +25% population * PVP servers (entire World): Empire 137,732 | Republic 66,586 | Empire has 2.1 times the population
If this were an election, the voting on the PVP servers would be a landslide.
The question is, why the big difference in population?
Some people have generalized the SWTOR situation by saying that the evil faction tends to be more popular in PVP. But there’s more to it than that. The Empire faction is the more popular one because it’s the more entertaining and cooler faction from a character development and storyline perspective. I’ve heard this from numerous people who tried both factions in Beta. PVP players want to feel and look bad-ass, and Empire’s the ticket.
So we have a situation where we’re going to have population imbalance from the get-go, on most if not all PVP servers.
I’ve been talking with folks who have played in 2-faction PVP games with at least semi-active World PVP (e.g. WAR, Aion, RIFT, etc), and many of them are convinced that the faction populations will balance out by endgame, or that faction population imbalance is a myth.
When projecting whether or not a 2-faction server population will balance itself in SWTOR, it’s important to consider the following:
1. A significant number of players coming to SWTOR are players whose experience in online gaming is mostly from WoW 2. WoW hasn’t had meaningful World PVP since Vanilla. TBC, WotLK, and Cataclysm have had really no meaningful World PVP to speak of, because the game is designed around instanced PVP (cross-server Arena, cross-server BGs, cross-server Rated BGs, instanced World Map matches) 3. Players who have never experienced meaningful World PVP won’t have seen the impacts of population imbalance, with the notable exception with Wintergrasp. I played WoW on both factions on different servers in the same battlegroup in WotLK, and the faction with the higher population (Horde in both cases for me) tended to dominate Wintergrasp and (sadly) attribute it to skill and tenacity, when it was clear there was a population imbalance that the stacking buff mechanic was unable to address. In WoW, there was no incentive to re-roll factions to help the other side. You were actually disincented to do so in WotLK, because everyone want to do their runs of the raid dungeon in Wintergrasp for the epic PVP drops, so they stayed on or switched to the higher-pop side. It was a virtuous cycle for the winning side and vicious cycle for the losing side 4. A lot of guilds / players are not willing to re-roll to the other faction to help balance things out. What I’ve seen is typically the opposite – people want to be on the winning side, even if it’s a faceroll zerg. There are people like me who prefer the underdog / under-populated side, but we’re the minority.
The other theory I’ve heard is that new gamers will tend to roll on the Republic to be a Jedi like Luke Skywalker or Smuggler like Han Solo. While that may be true, if they’re new gamers it’s going to take a significant amount of time before they’re functional in PVP. I can’t speak for you, but I’d kick the ass of me from 3 years ago. Most veterans of MMORPGs are already in the know regarding SWTOR and have chosen the cooler, bad-ass side accordingly.
So here are my predictions on how the population imbalance on PVP servers will affect PVP:
* Republic warzone queues will pop quickly. Empire queues will pop more slowly, or they’ll pop and you’ll see a disproportionate number of Huttball matches where you face a team from your faction. You won’t see as many Alderaan and Voidstar matches as Empire * In Ilum, the World PVP zone, there will be significantly more Empire than Republic players, with the obvious implications
Duh! These predictions are not rocket science – the 2 bullet points above were what we saw in Beta.
The three things that I have seen kill World PVP in other games have been:
1. Crappy class balance, which causes individuals to quit (so far, not a significant issue in SWTOR, although the JK/SW’s should get their CCs earlier) 2. Crappy world PVP implementation (can’t comment on this, haven’t experienced Ilum yet) 3. Population imbalance, which causes different issues on both side: boredom for the zergy faction, frustration for the gets-zerged faction (there is significant risk here for SWTOR, given that it’s a 2-faction game)
Regarding that last bullet point, AFAIK for SWTOR:
* There is no population cap per faction on a server – the cap is for the entire server not by faction * There is no balancing mechanic in Ilum
Hopefully BioWare will be able to sort out the population imbalance somehow that makes sense, especially for Ilum.

He recieved 3500 exp for 2 minute WZ due to not enough players. He recieved a win for that WZ.
He was then able to turn in the Daily PvP quest for another 12,000 EXP. Daily PvP quests are NOT limited to being daily, so he can instantly pick up the Daily quest again.
Total net = 15,000 EXP for 2 minutes of work = infinitely repeatable.
