zdar - chci se zeptat, jak se pocita damage pri boji se dvema zbranemi?? ja mam rogue, co mam v main hand diku (backstab) a v off hand mec....zajima me, jaky jsou tam postihy...diky

How does the off-hand damage penalty work? How is it affected by the dual wield spec talent?
A: The truth about the damage penalty on the off-hand is that it is not a fixed 50% reduction in damage. Here's how it works.
Let's assume you have a 20dps weapon in both hands. Let's say your attack power is high enough so you get a 20dps bonus from that.
Main Hand Damage = Weapon DPS + Attack Power DPS Bonus
In this case, it's 20 + 20 = 40
Off-Hand Damage = Weapon DPS + (Attack Power DPS Bonus) / 2
In this case, it would be 20 + 10 = 30
So without the dual wield talent, your main hand is doing 40dps, and your off-hand is doing 30dps, with the same exact 20dps weapon.
Now if you throw in a 50% damage bonus on the off-hand for having the dual wield spec 5/5, you get:
30 + 30 * 0.5 = 45
So with the dual wield talent, your off-hand is now actually doing more damage than your main-hand, even though they're the same weapon! This can all be verified by checking the in-game tooltips for both hand's damage. |

A: The off-hand normally just does 50% of what it normally would do. So:
(Weapon DPS + Attack Power DPS Bonus) * 0.5
WIth the dual wield spec 5/5, the off-hand does 75% damage, so just subtitute 0.75 for 0.5.
The tooltip for the off-hand was previously bugged, causing numbers which did not make sense. If you had the talent, a weapon would be listed as doing more damage in your off-hand than in your main. Some data posted prior to the tooltip fix suggested that the tooltip was bugged. The change to the tooltip seems to confirm this.

Ostatne si to muzes sam spocitat a overit. V char okne mas hodnoty jak pro main tak pro offhand, staci zmenit zbrane a overit vysledek. |
