Procitam si diaries a zacina mne to vic a vic lakat.
Sice to muzou byt jenom plane kecy, ale pokud splni to o cem tam mluvi, tak to bude "lepsi wow" ;-D .
Teda faktem je, ze PvP hrace to asi moc nepotesi, nebot tam maji byt jen battlegroundy + Monster Play (hraci hraji za monstra), ale napriklad se mi libi ze si vyvojari uvedomuji ze grind a raidovani 1 dungu porad dokola mesice je na palici (no blizzard si to v BC taky uvedomil, ale paradoxne aby clovek zazil BC dungy, stejne musi projit tim high-endovym peklem zvanem MC/BWL/ a spol..).
Tudiz budou raidy v LoTRO max 24 clenne a rozhodne podporuji i solo content, coz je fajn. Ja osobne mam rad mmorpg kde si jedu solo questiky s tim, ze KDYZ potkam na questu nekoho a vidim ze je fajn tak se snim rad pridam a quest udelam spolu protoze to je lehci.
+ obcas zajit nakej dung..

Hele Mike, tohle neni diskusni thread ;-) mne offline RPG nebavi, nevim proc, ale proste ten pocit ze jsem ve svete sam mne nudi. Jak sem rekl, rad potkavam lidi a kdyz jsou fajn, rad snima zakooperuju.
Jedna zmala vyjimek - Oblivion..ten mne ale zklamal tim, ze svet je prazdnej :( uvidim co Gothic3 az bude trosku hratelnejsi..

Neco o raidech:
raids = [(x * 2.342) + (y * 2) + z4] / 24 = FUN!
You know what the 24 stands for already (max size of people in a raid), so let’s look at the rest of those variables (our deepest apologies to any math teachers reading this):
Let’s talk about “x”, baby.
First off, we wanted to look at bosses. While we discussed what skills we could give to bosses and what nasty surprises we could build into encounters, we also wanted to make sure that they were tough enough. We needed to create a new monster classification tailor-made for the raid dynamic, and so we did just that. This enabled us to be sure our bosses couldn’t be taken out by a raid group of twenty-four damage-focused characters in mere seconds. So we took it up a notch.
We increased the hit points of our raid bosses, as well as the number of skills and special attacks they could make. This makes the raid bosses hit harder with attacks that you must defend against differently, thereby increasing the difficulty.
“y” in the world would I do raids?
Answer: To see incredible areas and fight astonishing monsters! To be one of the few in the game to say that you have defeated the greatest of foes in Middle-earth! To prove to everyone that you are a great hero and deserve great riches! Yep, one might say we took it up a notch.
Raids are a particular type of gameplay that many people love. The sense of doing something as a team in cooperation with twenty-three of your friends is very fulfilling. The ability to gain a sense of accomplishment and a reward for that accomplishment is wonderful as well. We want our raid system to be about more than a grind for loot; we want the experience itself to feel like a reward for those who are going to experience it only once or twice. Really the question is… why in the world would you not want such an experience?
“z” - fighting to the fourth power?
There’s a big difference between non-raid, single-fellowship combat and fighting as a united group of four fellowships. It is not simply a matter of four times the action, because buffs stack, firepower increases, healing becomes easier, etc. So…we took it up several notches.
We felt that having four fellowships (not 5, not 3, etc.) allows us to give a good large raid feel to the encounters but also keeps it small enough so that players don’t feel like cogs in the machine. This is important. We’ve played some of the larger raids out there and while the chaos of such a massive battle can be fun, that’s just not the experience we’re after here. Pressing a button seventeen times in a fight does not a raid make.
In LOTRO’s raid system, monsters come in greater numbers, difficulty is pushed up so that the players are facing much tougher mobs, and tricks are multiplied so that players have to constantly be on their toes, thinking strategy and tactics.
We wanted players to have an experience they remembered, be it their first time in the instance or their tenth. We think our raids will accomplish this, and are looking forward to your feedback after playing them!

Pod tohle bych se podepsal ..... hraju wowko 2 roky a poslední rok je to jen o tom 4xtýdně 5 hodin být v raidu a chodit dokola pořád ty samý instance - bez toho nemáš možnost se dostat k nejlepšímu equipu ve hře. Nejhorší na tom je to, že si na tuhle psychárnu spousta lidí zvykla a připadá jim to normální. Takže se těším na Lotra a doufám, že někdo vymyslí lepší princip raidů a instancí než stopadesátkrát jít bwl nebo aq nebo naxx. |

Due to some confusion on the forums, we feel the need to clarify that while the stress test servers will be running on both days, this coming Saturday and Sunday - players will need to log into the game between 12pm (GMT) on Saturday 13th and 12am (GMT) on Sunday 14th to stay within the Beta. Players who have been invited to the stress test, who do not log in between those 12 hours will have their account de-activated.

Status: We are currently experiencing authentication problems. Our Net Ops team are working on this issue intensively, with support from Turbine in the US. We have some strong leads on these problems experienced by us all, and are focused on trying to establish fixes. We apologise for the incovenience, and hope to have players in-game and stressing those systems shortly, however right now we do not have a firm ETA for a fix. Please continue to try and access the service, we need continual stress applied - not all players are making it into the game. Should the current issues persist for much of this stress test we will review ongoing access to the Beta and ensure users are fairly treated.

jinak hral jsem asi 2 hodky a je to 1. mmorpg co si koupim sberatelskou edici.. ta hra by mohla za 14dni vyjit FULL jak je dobre vymakana.. s vanguardem se to rozhodne neda srovnat.. (i kdyz uznavam ze VG ma sirsi zaber) |

no ja pisu clanek pro GP tak sem moc psat nemuzu 
ale neco sem napsal do toho 2. topicu ;-D
je to takove "vsecko nejlepsi z wowka + hafo veci navrch + grafika z GW"
ja sem treba nikde necetl nic o tech traits.. neco jako talenetech ale vypada to zajimave...
mas tam u postavy X slotu..
4 sloty na racial trait
asi 10 nebo kolik slotu na class trait .. potom par na legendary trait.. a ty sloty se otviraj na ruznejch levelech..sem zvedavej co do nich budu moci dat.
Ja mam ve hre jen 3 levely pac sem hral chvili spis sem prozkoumaval co a jak (hral sem asi hodku a pul potom se mi prehrala grafika a spadl mi komp a uz se nejde napojit.. :-DD) ale libi se mi za huntera ty skilly.. sou takove hravejsi nez treba u Wowka..
zakladem sem mel 1 skill na dyku, 1 quick shot na luk a 1 barbed arrow skill na luk.. a na levelu 2. sem si koupil skill kterej strili 2 sipy naraz s tim ze skutecne vidis letet 2 sipy a muze se stat, ze ten 2. sip missne a leti nekam do pici ;-D |

Stress test is over for tonight!
After 14 long hours, and some disappointing results, we are coming to a close for the appointed stress test window.
Firstly, in response to your biggest query, the LOTRO stress test login window will be extended to 00:00 Monday 15th January. (That's midnight Sunday night!) Anyone logging into LOTRO throughout Sunday will have their key fully activated for the remainder of the Beta. Should significant problems continue throughout the weekend, we will re-address the situation once again.
Secondly, regarding the performance issues experienced today we are of course not on target, however we have exposed significant issues that need to be addressed and for this we are very grateful to you who have helped us to uncover them!
We shall continue to work on the problems right now and throughout the weekend, however we do not anticipate significant change for the end user within tonight's time frame. We will make the necessary adjustments/fixes to our systems in time for the next stress test which will be in the near future.

No zat9m se mi nepocedlo lognout na server ani jednou. Celou sobotu se ne2lo zaregistrovat, pak se mi to povedlo, pak jsem updatnul US klienta na EU verzi a pak nejede server.
Jinka jak jsem psal jinde - mam level 8 barda }nebo minstrel nebo jak se to jmenuje v tehle hre). hra hezka, celkem dobry, questy a progress ala WoW + pridane nahodne questy typu zabiju vlka, mam quest na zabijeni vlku v okoli mesta, dodelam, mam +1 WIS. Atd. Ale celkem mam z toho pocit takovy, ze to nebude hra na dlouho. Mesic super, dalsi mesic dobry a pak jit jinam. Mozna se mylim, ale zatim to tak na me pusobi. engine DDO 1.5, ale je lepsi o to, ze jsou tam venkovni prostredi a hezky provedene. Grafika zvlastni - jak rikam Dungeons and Dragons Online verze 1.5.
Uvidime, co s tim udelaji dale. Uvodni quest a atmosfera jinak neni vubec spatna. |

Je to velice prumerna, jednoducha mmorpg. Vadi mi milion zon, kazda budova je zona, neni problem mit zonu v instanci, hra je prilis linearni.
Grafika je nic moc, engine DDO mne nikdy nezaujmul.
Tak nejak jsem cekal MNOHEM vic. Ale kdo ma rad GW a DDO a nevadi mu, ze LOTR asi nebude klasickou mmorpg ve stylu EQ2, Vanguardu ci DAOCu tak se bude bavit.

tak to asi kazdej hrajeme jinou hru.. jedina zona na kterou sem narazil krome instancniho questu na uvod byl dungeon..kde ale byli vsichni.
V kazdem pripade budovy zony nejsou, alespon se to nezda, protoze pruchod mam naprosto plynuly stejne tak ostatni hraci co sem se ptal se kterejma to hraju a uz vubec nejde o instanci..
A docela zajimavy hodnoceni na to, ze o te hre vis uplny h.... (neznas skilly,specky, reakcni specky KTERE TAM PRY JSOU..vsechny moznosti v pvp, monster pvp.. etc)
LOTR JE klasicka mmorpg ve stylu EQ2 .. ba co vic.. EQ2 ma miliardu zon a instanci vcetne hospod. Tohle jich ma minimum.

Jo, stim bych celkem souhlasil.. i kdyz doufam ze spis nez k DDO to bude mit vic k WoW.... Vanguard mne zklamal a tak tohle bude dobra vypln k tomu, nez z Vanguarda udelaji to co mel byt, pripadne nez se vybarvi dalsi mmorpg co maj vyjit (age of conan, spellborn..) |

No jak jsem prohlížel tvoje screenshoty, tak se mi fakt jeví jako smíchanina GW, EQ a WoW. Podle mě chce turbine vsadit na jistotu a udělat hru, kterou nebude muset po půl roce dát free. Uvidím jak se to bude hrát, využít toho nejlepšího z jiných her mi nevadí pokud to funguje a bude to elegantně pospojovaný.
No pokud je grafika ala GW tak mám jednu otázku .... grafika gw je fakt pěkná a když pominu ty terénní anomálie (nejde přeběhnout kopeček) nechápu jednu věc ...když jsou grafici schopni udělat krásnou grafiku krajiny, proč nejsou schopni udělat perfektní pohyb postav ... u EQ i GW se nedokážu zbavit dojmu, že ovládám prkenný panáky, kteří jsou po třech obrnách. Nikdy jsem se nedokázal s postavou tak sžít tak jak u wowka.

Hmm jak vidim a skousim to tak se me nejde lognout i dneska se asi do ty bety nikdy nedostanu.  A jak nekdo na offic foru poznamenal tak LOTRO beta stress test is real stress test |

podle me je lepsi mit grafiku DDO, nebo nejakou trosku slabsi nez neco co pustis jen na HC sestave a kde vetsina lidi beha s tim ze maji 10 fps |

ja nevim zkousel jsem to chvilu asi jako ddo a prislo me to opraskly od ddo od a do z :)
s tim rozdilem, ze je pridanej i outdoor svet
ale ne spatny, kdyby tam byli lidi a pvp asi bych to vydrzel nakou dobu hrat |

Tak se me podarilo konecne lognout vytvoril jsem si postavu udelal prvni quest zadal dalsich 6 a Connection to the server lost  Do haje kdyz se me konecne podari lognout tak jim to musi spadnout |

Pánové přidejte se k komunitě www.middle-earth.ic.cz v betě pak můžete informovat hráče : Sidinus a Prcinwe (to jsou zatím ti co se po několika hodinách konečně dostali do hry)

Rodier zase dela blbeho. Zony tam somozrejme jsou a vic nez by se me libilo. V porovnani s EQ2 to vyjde asi nastejno. V EQ2 jsou outdoorove sceny zona , tady je zase kazdej barak zona.To ze ty to mas plynule neznamena, ze to maji plynule vsichni.Ja na mojich 512Ram to plynule teda nemam.
Jinak narazil uz nekdo na dungeon ci quest podobny tomu uvodnimu? Na par instatnich jsem narazil, ale stali za prd. Jsem na lvl 15 a zatim jen normalni prines/dones/kilni questy.
JInak ty do tech racial ramecku se davaji ability ktere se otviraji postupne podle plneni urcitych veci. Napriklad hpokud Hobit donese vsechny kolace tak se mu odemkne +1might. Pokud objevi v uvodni lokaci vsechny vypsane zony dostane zase jinou abilitu. A tohle se da nastrkat do tech ctverecku u Barda ve meste. |

Plusy, kterem jsem zatim na LOTR nasel:
- skvele animovane plavani (je mozne se potapet?)
- hudba je nadprumerna, zvuky taktez
- ingame voice komunikace !!!!!!!!!!!!!
- celkem hezke prostredi (treba hotitin se mi libi vic nez hobiti startovni lokace ve Vanguardu)
Jinak se tomu snazim stale prijit na chut, ale zatim to na mne pusobi prilis prumerne. LOTR je tak trochu perzistentni guild wars.

Mě to také vcelku přišlo jako taková sice hezká, ale ničím extra zvláštní hra kromě toho, že je to LOTR, tak ty lokace mají takový zajímavější nádech.
Také se mi líbí ty traity za questy.
Ale jinak nic extra.
Jinak když jsem si měl večer vybrat, co budu hrát, jestli LOTRO v betě, kde jsem toho viděla hodně málo a měl jsem co zkoumat a nebo WoW ještě před datadiskem, kde začátek znám a chtěl jsem si jen dodělat pár questíků, tak jsem automaticky lognul WoW.
Takže to pro mě asi taková bomba není, jelikož obyčejně nejdřív zkoumám něco nového a zajímavého |

tjn.. taky mi ten lotr prijde jako mensi zklamani..ale nemuzu na to prijit cim.
Libi se mi hodne boj, je jeste lepsi nez ve wowku kvuli perfektnim animacim a je tu vic hravejsich abilit.. a ty traity..
....ale na 2. stranu porad pokukuju po Vanguardovi. Cpo se tyka questu - kdo jeste nedospel.. ty budou vzdycky repetivni. SLouzi jenom k tomu aby zanesli cloveka nekam, kde ma expit .]
Porad nemuzu prijit na to co mne na lotrovi vadi.. asi je to ten design.. na jednu stranu se to snazi byt realisticke ala vanguard... na druhou stranu je to takove kreslene a misty dost low-res .. nevim no :(
V kazdem pripade wowko bych teda nelognul ;] a to mam jen L50 char..ale uz na tom levelu mne ten grind nudil.. lotr ma aspon zajimave zname lokace.. |

Introduction to monster play:
In The Lord of the Rings Online™: Shadows of Angmar™, player versus player combat takes place in a unique form. Players are transported to the dangerous region of the Ettenmoors, where conflict against the forces of Angmar goes unchecked. Players can choose to fight this battle from either side; choosing to enter as their normal player character, or choosing to fight as a creature of the dark forces of Angmar.
The players enter an area of known and consensual PvMP (player versus monster player). The battle for control of Middle-earth rages here 24/7.
In order to satisfy both easy access for the casual gamer as well as giving hard-core players something to shoot for, we allow you to play as a monster at a very low level, but playing as a player character must be earned by levelling to near the level cap.
High Level Monster Play Details:
o The Ettenmoors is a non-instanced region, roughly the size of the Shire.
o Players on each side start in a safe zone.
o The main gameplay elements are PvMP fighting, Quests, and Keep/Tower assaults.
o Monsters start as roughly a ’Normal’ statistic level 50 Monster that is more advanced than a level 50 mob, but may not quite be a match for normal level 50 players until they advance their monster via the acquisition of Destiny Points and Infamy Points.
o These points either grant or gate the following: additional skills, improved current skills, bonuses to Morale, regen rates, armour, etc. Players can also gain additional appearances to change the look of their avatar over time.
o There are five monster play classes to choose from.
Requirements
In order to get into monster play you must meet the following requirements:
Monsters:
Your main character must be at least level 10.
Players:
Your main character must be at least level 40.
If you meet the above level requirements, follow these instructions to enter the Monster Play region of the Ettenmoors:
Playing as a Monster:
* Level a character to Level 10+
* Go to Bree and locate Beggar’s Alley
o This area is in the Western part of town to the west of the Burglar Trainer.
* Locate the Angmarim labelled “Monster Controller”
* Right click him and select “Play as a Monster”
* Select one of the five available classes and click the Play button
Players:
* Level a character to Level 40+ (ideally upper 40’s)
* Travel to Rivendell
* Goto the Horse Stables in the Western section, west of the Trainer area
o If you’ve unlocked this horse route already, it’s the normal Rivendell Stable location, aka Elrond’s Stables
* Locate Stable-master Remros
* Right click Remros, select Ettenmoors and click the Go! button |
