BitTorrent funguje na stejnem principu jako Napster t.j. stahujes nejen ze serveru ale i od ostatnich lidi

server pouze udržuje informaci o tom kdo danej soubor má

data se sdílej a stahujou mezi uživatelema sítě

neni to klasická p2p síť, slouží to především k distribuci konkrétních souborů

jinak asi nejlepsi klient je http://pingpong-abc.sourceforge.net ABC client..
ma i web service diky ktery muzes menit nastaveni klienta, pridavat dalsi stahovani atp vzdalene (ale nedela to na tvem PC web server.. funguje to jinak .. posila to informace na web server abccka a tam ty se napojujes..takze ej to relativne bezpecnejsi nez emule a jeji webservice ktera pouziva vlastni web server..)

Nevyhodu vidim v relativne male rychlosti pri startu (30 - 180+ sekund = vyhledavani aktivnich klientu).

Ale samozrejme BitTorrent se nepouziva na klasicke stahovani dat, takze pro svuj ucel je ok.
